UNDAF outcome: Strengthened and intensified multi-sectoral national
response to HIV and AIDS by 2010
- Establish a National Research Council on HIV/AIDS
- National Research Council strengthened to manage and coordinate
national research initiatives on HIV/AIDS
- NERCHA supported to mainstream HIV/AIDS in the national
planning and budgeting processes
- NERCHA's capacity to coordinate and manage the national response
to HIV/AIDS strengthened
- Church forum's capacity to participate in the HIV/AIDS national
response strengthened
- Increased public awarness and sensitization on HIV/AIDS
- National UNVs recruited to support programmes on HIV/AIDS and
decentralization.
