UNDAF outcome: Strengthened and intensified multi-sectoral national response to HIV and AIDS by 2010

  • Establish a National Research Council on HIV/AIDS
  • National Research Council strengthened to manage and coordinate national research initiatives on HIV/AIDS
  • NERCHA supported to mainstream HIV/AIDS in  the national planning and budgeting processes
  • NERCHA's capacity to coordinate and manage the national response to HIV/AIDS strengthened
  • Church forum's capacity to participate in the HIV/AIDS national response strengthened
  • Increased public awarness and sensitization on HIV/AIDS
  • National UNVs recruited to support programmes on HIV/AIDS and decentralization.
 
Corporate Thematic Area The project is within the HIV & AIDS  thematic area. Human rights and gender are considered cross cutting themes most prevalent in this program.
